Dennis Kyne on BandCamp

years as an independent. I first released Support the Truth on CdBaby two decades ago. It spent time on the Earshot Charts. Hitting it's highest spot as an album at #16. Ain't going back again, the first track off that album hit a high spot as a song at #13. My second album, I'm Not Resisting, offered up after the brutal treatment by the NYPD at the RNC 2004 was doing prety well when Hurricane Katrina hit. In the time since I last self produced, self funded, self promoted an album, which hit the charts as an independent in 2004, many things have changed. But CD Baby is still distributing for the independent Artist. And to get your songs distributed Global, digital, stream, download..... all of that is the game. I grew up with hand written fliers and posters getting stapled to poles. There are some things that have not changed in twenty years since I went with CD Baby, some things have not changed since I played 7 nights a week in basements, frat houses and clubs as a young man. the new thing is BandCamp. I checked around. Grammy Award Winning Craig Klein gave me the tip. So here we go. How about we log the journey of an independent artist, who still floats a myspace account... who hit the charts marketing his album before the google search was relevancy and the world argued in Yahoo groups
